A question I’ve been sitting with: How much of my anxiety is mine, and how much belongs to the world I’m plugged into? Everywhere you turn there’s news of injustice, cruelty, hopelessness, trauma and horrifying violence. And I honestly just want to cry and give up. But I can’t. Why? Because there’s a huge part of me that believes that life is good!
Identify your anxiety
I wholeheartedly think with every fiber in my being that life is joyous, sweet and that there are wonderful people on this planet who are eagerly waiting to connect and engage with each other.
Hey guys, I’m over here!
So when I catch myself getting in the slump and that happens weekly, I put my tried and true steps into action to keep me feeling upbeat.
Actions that work
Here’s my go to:
- Go to you tube and put on Earth Wind & Fire That’s the way of the world Everett Harp’s Perfect Day, Mark Morrison Return of the Mack, Paul Brown 24/7
- Clean and reorganize the garage…it’s a never ending task
- Rearrange a room in my house
- Drink either a glass of ice tea or ice coffee
- Reorganize or prune plants on my small patio
- Water the outside plants
- Eat my Lifesavers gummies
Okay, now it’s your turn. Please list and share what your tried and true go to steps are that keep you sane while living in this chaotic world.
Envision the best,
Linda
